Raju Patel Expresses Concern Over Deekshabhoomi Management Yavatmal / Nagpur, October 17, 2026 Shri Raju Patel, Maharashtra State Vice President of Janhit Lokshahi Party, has expressed serious concern over the dispute surrounding the management of the sacred Deekshabhoomi in Nagpur and fears that it could come under the control of the RSS. According to the news report referenced in the press release, Smarak Samiti Secretary Dr. Rajendra Gavai has supported the position taken by Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi leader Adv. Prakash Ambedkar. Allegations concerning the locking of rooms and intimidation of employees at Deekshabhoomi have also been raised. Raju Patel stated: “Deekshabhoomi is not merely a memorial; it is the centre of our identity, the thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and the faith of millions of followers. There is no place for authoritarianism there. Without transparency in management, this dispute could intensify further.” He welcomed former minister Dr. Nitin Raut’s initiative to facilitate discussions and called upon Bhante Surai Sasai to address the media directly and clarify his position. “Deekshabhoomi does not belong to any one individual. It belongs to society. Society must take the initiative now; otherwise, history will not forgive us,” he said. Janhit Lokshahi Party stated that it is monitoring the situation and may organise an all-party meeting in Nagpur and launch a protest if necessary. Jai Bhim! Jai Samvidhan!
